Okay, this one's a little long so stick with it if you can. I was gonna promise not to bitch about anything else, but that probably isn't going to happen, given my own human nature. The whole concept of rebates makes me nuts--why not just sell it for less money in the first place? Did you know there are sort of sub-companies that just handle the rebates for other companies?

I enjoyed watching this. I hate dealing with all those rebate forms, too... I know- they should just give you the money upfront instead of making you wait so long, fill out all the stupid forms, etc...

but at least you got the $100 check : )

My new favorite thing is, when you check out at the supermarket and if you have their little shopping card, they say--"You've saved x amount of dollars today!" in a perky little voice. And then I say "Can I have it now?" I usually get a blank stare from the clerk.

what you should do is go to the store with a small billy club, and when they offer you a mail in rebate, just start smashing in the cash register. When you are done, and the cahier is looking at you blankly, just tell her you thought that was a better idea.

Hey j.k.n., I really like your idea and think it could be applied as a solution to many other situations as well! I guess the important thing to remember is not to hit the cashier?

I like your style. Your sense of wit and humor are not unlike my own. I will definitely add this to my RSS reader and I hope you update soon.

Sidenote: Your page looks like you haven't strayed much from the standard Blogger template. I could help you out a little with site design if you are interested. Cheers!

Well, at the end you say you got the rebate offer. Can I take that to mean that you do not actually have the check, and have cashed the check? Can we expect a sequal to this one?
