The New Old House

Watch the video
After watching my three children become bloggers, I figured, what the heck, I shouldn't be the only family member without a blog. This is my first post, created with their help. The next post I'll be on my own, so look out!! Enjoy a continuing update of our "New Old House."

I love looking at our photos and movies of our home before and after we moved in; it's always a treat to compare.

So many interesting and beautiful things in your home. I love the original walnut staircase railing. Just beautiful.

That was one fun video! Welcome to the vlogosphere.

You're a natural!

I live in an old house about 30 miles from you and now I'm about to rip out my railing to see if there is a mortgage in it. We've been here for 15 years and we're still working on it!! That's after a new roof, driveway, septic system, heater, plumbing, lots of paint, new floors, windows, you name it ...

Go Mom! Something to proud of Ryanne.

Great house! I had never heard of a mercury glass doorknob before. Neat stuff - lots of original work there. If you find the mortgage, definitely vlog it!

That was great. What a great old house. Love the history and how it seems you can find hidden treasure if you look close enough. Can't wait to see more. :)

I miss my old house...

Watching your video I realized we have the same railing on our stairs, now I want to know if we have a treasure in our stairs.

"There's just something about this house..."

What a wonderful, beautiful house. Makes me miss New England (a little). I grew up in Massachusetts. We don't have basements where we live now, in Texas.

Keep vlogging!

I wish my mom would have that enthusiasm to make a vlog. You're a natural in front of the camera.

Hi--welcome to the older generation of vloggers! You're ahead of me. You actually were acknowledged by Steve Garfield. More than I've ever received. Looking forward to seeing future posts!

Nice new old house. Next you should get out some old tools and cut the top off that spindle thing and dig out the old mortage! That would be cool! (Just kidding) Happy Vlogging!

Keep 'em coming! Thanks!

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to look at my first video and post such nice remarks! I have another one in the pipeline, but holiday shopping and entertaining has slowed me down!
